THE
COMMONWEALTH
As a multinational organisation that interacts through governments, business, and civil society the Commonwealth is uniquely well placed to tackle the global security challenge. Comprised of 56 nations, spread across every continent, and bordering every ocean, the Commonwealth can harness its strength in diversity to help overcome those security challenges that have an impact at both the local and international level.
At times of global uncertainty the relations of nations drawn together through an enduring, dynamic and voluntary association could not be more vital. The enduring challenges that countries face, from terrorism and cyber attack, to disasters and financial crime, must be met by an international response. Through deeper cooperation the Commonwealth's global network has the potential to mitigate and eradicate security threats. In doing so, we can help create more resilient societies, organisations, and states.
