As Commonwealth leaders gather in Kigali, Rwanda for the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), CSG was delighted to be in the remarkable country to join some of the discussions. Rwanda's recent story is one of rebirth, stability and growing prosperity from the depths and horrors of genocide in 1994. As the world appears more divided, with strategic competition rising, associations such as the Commonwealth are a vital avenue for consensus building dialogue and a recognition of the importance and potential of enduring friendships across nations. The opportunities of the Commonwealth in the broad field of security, from cyber, maritime and food security to extremism and strategic resilience, are significant. We look forward to Rwanda's chairmanship of the Commonwealth and seeing the association seize new opportunities for cooperation.
